Multi - Year Grants for Community Based Programs
In October 2020, FWPD released the CCPD FY21 Community Based Programs Request For Proposals (RFP) from eligible applicants and registered non - profit organizations with programs that address at least one of the CCPD goals. After a thorough review by the Selection Committee, in January 2021 the department awarded the first ever multi - year grants (3 - year/$300K) to Shaken Baby Alliance, Las Vegas Trail Rise, Clayton Youth Enrichment, and Academy 4. New Bell 505 Helicopter In January, the Fort Worth Police Department announced the purchase of a new Bell 505 helicopter. This helicopter is a patrol/observation helicopter to aid in Police patrol missions and air monitoring. The heli- copter was purchased using funds from the Crime Control and Preven- tion District as well as unused police capital funds.
