Handling Your Pain

One of the biggest concerns regarding pain in the shoulder, elbow, and wrist is that it is difficult to impossible to actually allow these parts of the body time to rest. Every movement and action requires these body parts — and when the pain develops in both arms, as it often does, treating the pain becomes even more complicated. It is impossible to care for your basic needs without involving your shoulder or wrist, let alone get through a day at the office. This is why so many issues regarding pain in the shoulder, elbows, and wrists typically become chronic. baseball for his collegiate sport at Catawba College, where he played until he injured his shoulder and found his new dreamof physical therapy. Aaron then pursued his Doctorate of Physical Therapy at Wingate University. Aaron has a passion for treating shoulder injuries due to his own personal experiences with shoulder surgery and the physical therapy process. Aaron has experience coaching baseball, basketball, and football. Prior to returning to school for his Doctorate, he taught private baseball lessons inMooresville. If you see himparticipating in sports now, it is likely to be on the golf course! Aaron loves to treat athletes because he can empathize with them fromhis own experiences. He knows how important it is to get back “in the game”.

He did win the National Indoors 18-under doubles championship and defeated the #2 ranked Junior tennis player in the world at the Orange Bowl. He was invited to and participated in the US Olympic Trials that same year. Shawn earned a full scholarship to the University of Florida where he played #1 singles and #1 doubles for the Florida Gators. He went on to play professionally after college. Shawn enjoys working with athletes of all ages and, after completing fellowship training in orthopedic manual therapy, Shawn has a special focus on spine and manual therapy.
