Leadership Appointments in Real Estate, Facilities, Capital Delivery, Development, Sustainability & Commercial Services
EXECUTIVE & NON-EXECUTIVE RECRUITMENT SERVICES
RM6290
INTRODUCTION Founded in 2007, MRG is an international group of specialist recruitment businesses focused on leadership appointments across property, asset and facilities management, development, infrastructure, and commercial services. Through services including retained search, interim executives and recruitment as a service, we support global businesses and iconic institutions across sectors including central and local government, blue light services, arts and culture, further and higher education, healthcare and life sciences. For us, it’s about getting it right rather than getting it over the line. It’s about unbiased processes rather than “a little black book of contacts”. And it’s about meaningful sector knowledge rather than gut feel. Ultimately, that focus on process and detail makes us better to work with, better to work for, and far more likely to complete assignments successfully at the first time of asking. Our market leading public sector business, with coverage across the UK, has been delivering senior, executive and non-executive appointments with the built environment markets for the past 15 years.
We’re a dedicated team of over 20 consultants focussed on filling roles for our public sector clients, supported by a team of 5 resourcers and project administrators. “

WHAT WE STAND FOR
We’re a values-driven business – and those values underpin everything we do.
INCLUSIVE
INVENTIVE
FORENSIC
RELENTLESS
We believe that genuine diversity creates better businesses, so our approach to recruitment is open, fair, and objective. This hasn’t happened by accident – we are inclusive by design. Everyone at MRG has undertaken unconscious bias training and the MRG Matrix system eliminates bias from our process. We have also created a workplace where people can bring their whole selves to work.
We love finding inventive ways to solve issues unique to every assignment. We understand the world of recruitment inside out and this knowledge is instrumental in finding new answers to stubborn problems. We encourage new ideas, and our Business Improvement Group embraces change.
We are forensic in our approach to candidate assessment and analysis, and we pride ourselves on spotting the details that others may miss. Our briefings and our research are exhaustive, and our work is detail-obsessed. We are process driven and data led. We look for evidence and proof to back up what we believe.
Search and Selection is rarely easy. Being relentless is about doing the hard yards to get an assignment to the right conclusion. It is about overcoming challenges. It means we are driven by enthusiasm, energy and a pride in the work that we do.

OUR PROCESS Our recruitment processes are unique and play a vital role in why we’re chosen by the biggest and best-known companies in our sector. We believe it’s our responsibility, as a recruiter, to be objective, data-led and watertight in everything we do. Our process is designed to empower clients to make unbiased hiring decisions. All MRG adverts comply with current anti- discrimination legislation and are carefully worded to ensure that they are not written in a way that stereotypes or encourages people to believe that the position is only suitable for certain groups of people. Unless requested we advertise all our vacancies online with leading online job boards, public networking sites and specialist and national press. This ensures we can attract candidates from the widest pool available and gives fair accessibility. We monitor the diversity of applicants by issuing a monitoring form to establish the diversity of all those who apply. Following the culmination of a recruitment campaign the information received is collated and presented as percentages in a report and graph format, thus ensuring complete confidentiality Our 96% completion rate on assignments is exceptionally high for a market where the right person is extremely hard to find – let alone attract. “
An emphasis on ED&I runs throughout our recruitment processes, utilising our selection matrix which focuses on core competencies and is weighted for the specific role in partnership with the hiring manager. This process ensures all candidates are treated fairly and equitably as they are selected based purely on experience in a competency demonstrated at interview. We also use Thomas International personal profile analysis to compile the most diverse shortlist possible. Our process is never fixed or inflexible – senior- level recruitment can’t be. It’s rigorous, objective and inclusive by design – eliminating risks and maximising opportunities. Ultimately, it replaces instinctive decision- making with transparent, systematised methods. Time and again, it results not only in more diverse workplaces, but more successful ones. The whole MRG team have also completed the Marshall Unconscious Bias training. As a business we are committed to a gender diverse workplace, and have an approximate 54% female and 46% male gender balance across our own business. As a business we are committed to embedding a strong equal opportunities culture and monitoring diversity is a crucial component of ensuring a successful strategy. We’re passionate about diversity and inclusion, and actively work on advancing it both within our own workplace and the clients we support.
