Large Patch Prevention Assurance Protect warm season fairways from Large Patch disease with a Syngenta Large Patch Prevention Assurance.

Large patch disease in turfgrass is most common in the fall and spring as warm season grasses are entering or leaving dormancy. Large patch is caused by the fungus Rhizoctonia solani strain AG 2-2LP. This disease can affect zoysiagrass, seashore paspalum and occasionally bermudagrass. Rhizoctonia solani , while present year round in the thatch, soil, roots and rhizomes, initiates infection when day length shortens and soil temperatures drop. Conditions that favor this disease include; extended wet periods, high nitrogen levels, heavy soils, and dense thatch—disease symptoms can become severe to the point of turfgrass loss in the spring following green-up. Introducing the Performance Assurance for Preventing Large Patch The key to protecting your turfgrass from large patch is through preventive applications of Headway ® , Heritage ® , or Velista ® fungicides. • Heritage provides industry-leading control of Rhizoctonia diseases and more than 25 other turfgrass pathogens while enhancing your turfgrass health. • Headway combines the power of Heritage with long-lasting protection in the soil and turfgrass crown provided by a proven DMI (Demethylation Inhibitor of sterol biosynthesis). • Velista, the broadest spectrum SDHI provides excellent control of large patch and other key diseases such as dollar spot.
