The Special Election for North Myrtle Beach will be held on Tuesday, February 24, 2026 . This is a nonpartisan election and no party affiliation shall be placed on the ballot. This will fill the unexpired term for the Crescent Beach Ward, which became vacant following the November 2025 General Election. The unexpired term is March 2026 - November 2027. The following candidates will be included in this election for the Crescent Beach Ward: • Ray Collins • Melissa Wober Early Voting: The early voting period starts on Monday, February 9, 2026, and ends Friday, February 20, 2026 (closed on Saturday and Sunday). Early voting will take place at the Horry County Voter Registration Office, located at 1515 4th Avenue, Conway, S.C. 29526. Their hours are 8:30 AM to 5 PM. Polls: The polls will open at 7 AM on Election Day and close at 7 PM. At the close of the polls, the North Myrtle Beach Election Commission will count the absentee ballots at City Hall and report the unofficial results. Certifying the Election: The Commission will meet at City Hall at 10 AM on Thursday, February 26, 2026, to certify the election and determine the validity of ballots challenged in the election.
