WIS Yearbook 2024

Year 10 This year, as the Head of Year 10, I have had the honour of witnessing our wonderful students embark upon and navigate their way through their GCSE journey. As our students transitioned into KS4, they have demonstrated a real fortitude in the varying levels of personal and academic pressures they have encountered, and remarkable maturity in managing themselves amidst all of these. Alongside absorbing a huge amount of curriculum content and exam skills for a number of subjects, they have dedicated time to learning how to plan ahead, understanding and applying effective revision strategies, and minimizing stress and anxiety surrounding assessments. Their integrity has shone through in their everyday actions, continuing to build the trust of those around them. They have shown themselves to be honest and responsible young adults, prioritising their studies and their future selves. Their commitment to supporting one another has been commendable. Whether through study groups, words of encouragement at the time of assessment, or simply by offering a friendly face to each other each morning, our Year 10 students have demonstrated empathy and solidarity and it has been a privilege to work alongside them. I very much look forward to seeing what Year 11 will bring for this cohort and to supporting them through next year each step of the way.
