Year 13
Congratulations Class of 2024 You have made it, no more of me nagging about working on your IA’s, EE’s or revising for exams. No more study club, grilling you on where you have parked or where your tie is. We went through the phase of black shirts and other random attire. I am still scarred by some of the Hawian shirts that were worn on the one day of Spirit week that we managed to have. Ski Dubai and Aventura in Year 12 were great fun, and seeing you all work together in teams showed what amazing, supportive and compassionate young people you are. Year 13 the Paintball battle was epic, even if we had to move it from the last day of term before the winter break, which meant that we missed out on the traditional Christmas Karaoke, which was a bit of a blessing after the previous year. One of my favourite memories with you will be the day we took your Graduation Book photographs and the Grads on Tour trip to Atlantis, all the smiling faces and group selfies with your friends.
You have all worked so hard through the IB and I am sure on results day we will get to really celebrate your achievements when we are all here to open those envelopes with you. Now Graduation has happened and you can all go off and enjoy some fun family and friends time, and continue making memories that you can take with you to the multitude of countries that you are all jetting off to around the world. Keep in touch and remember you are part of the WIS family. I am truly incredibly proud of you all and wish you all the best for the future. Ciara Watson Head of Year 13
