WISPA/ Parents as Partners
As an inherent part of the WIS community WISPA (Wellington International School Parent Association) has been striving to bring together parents, school, and students to promote our ethos “Parents as partners”. We’ve had a nice and slow calendar of events this academic year, less busy than usual but always as engaging. International day was the main event, and we had an impressive number of country stalls this year and the most creative setups, performances, and food stations. More than 25 countries exhibited and showcased the food and culture to our WIS community throughout the day, reminding us once again how diverse and culturally rich our school is. For the holy month of Ramadan, the parents’ community was generous enough to help us
fill the yearly donation bags and hand them to the amazing support staff at school and in the transport department. WISPA is grateful to have a supportive community and a voice at WIS. We ae looking forward to the next AY 24-25 and are planning new, engaging, and impactful events (in addition to our yearly classics). On behalf of WISPA I would like to extend our warmest wishes for a happy summer break to you and your families. We will see you after the break with exciting events and update.
