WOULD YOU? If you had been to heathen lands Where weary souls stretch out their hands To plead, yet no one understands, Would you go back? Would you? Their heavy loads with none to share Had heard them weep with none to care, Would you go back? Would you? If you had seen the glorious sight, When heathen people in their night, Were brought from darkness into light, Would you go back? Would you? Yet still they wait, a weary throng, They#ve waited, some so very long. When shall despair be turned to song? We're going back! Would you?.. HE HAS A PLAN FOR ME I to Christ my life have given, Ever His alone to be; Oh what peace and blest assurance, That He has a plan for me. Now I know that He is leading In His love so full and free; I can rest in Him securely, For He has a plan for me. If you had seen the women bear As I walk along life's pathway, Though the way I cannot see I shall follow in His footsteps, For He has a plan for me. So I look to Him for guidance, Saviour, Lord and King is He; I can trust Him— aye forever, Since He has a plan for me! Trusting Him in full assurance, This would be my only plea, Reveal, Oh Lord, just step by step Thine own perfect plan for me!

RECIPE FOR A HAPPY LIFE Take a large quantity of cheerfulness I And let it simmer without stopping. I Put with it a brimming basinful of I kindness. Therr add to it a full measure of I thoughts for other people. M ix into these a heaping tablespoon I of sympathy; Flavor with essence of charity; Stir well together and then carefully I Strain off any grains of selfishness. I Let the dish be served with a sauce I Of love and the fruit of the Spirit. I THINGS DON'T JUST HAPPEN Things don't just happen to us who love God, They're planned by His own dear hand, Then molded and shaped, and timed by His clock, Things don't just happen— they're planned. We don't just guess on the issues of life; We Christians just rest in our Lord, We are directed by His sovereign will, In the light of His holy Word. We who love Jesus are walking by faith, Not seeing one step that's ahead, Not doubting one moment what our lot might be, But looking to Jesus, instead. We praise our dear Saviour for loving us so, For planning each care of our life; Then giving us faith to trust Him for all The blessings, as well as the strife. Things don't just happen to us who love God, To us that have taken our stand; No matter the lot, the course, or the price, Things don't just happen, they're planned. — Esther L. Fields
