PRIORITY FIVE - ENHANCED PATIENT EXPERIENCE
Deanne Reeve Pelvic Health Suite We were so excited to cut the ribbon to open the DGH’s new Deanne Reeve Pelvic Health Suite in February! This new suite has provided patients with increased access to essential care by quadrupling our capacity for urological procedures and more than doubling our capacity for gynecological procedures. The suite is the first of its kind in Atlantic Canada and was made possible by the generosity of numerous donors including: The Orchid Gala, the J & W Murphy Foundation, the Bowser Family, the Brien Family Foundation, Dorothy & Dan Gibson, Mark & Teri Sherman, CIBC, and Steele Automotive Group. You can read more about how the first pelvic health suite in Atlantic Canada is helping improve access to care on page 20. New Activities Of Daily Living Suite Opens At DGH DGH’s new Activities of Daily Living Suite opened in April thanks to the generosity of the J & W Murphy Foundation, Harding Medical, Auction Advantage, Payzant Home Hardware, and other caring donors. This new purpose-built and thoughtfully designed suite mimics a home environment and allows recreational therapy staff to assess patients’ ability and mobility in order to make support recommendations for a safe return home. Your generosity is hard at work for patients at DGH.
