Also known as a Legacy Gift, it is a powerful way to create lasting impact. It will ensure that future generations continue to have access to the very best care, close to home. Creating your Legacy is easier than you might think—and every gift, big or small, makes a difference while allowing you to continue caring for those closest to you. Ways To Give:
Bequest: The most popular and straightforward option. A gift in your Will—whether a specific amount or a percentage of your estate—does not affect your current income and can reduce estate taxes. Gifts of Securities: Donating stocks, bonds, or mutual funds is tax efficient. You won’t pay capital gains tax on appreciated securities, and you’ll receive a charitable tax receipt for the full fair market value. You can choose to give now or through your estate.
Life Insurance: You can donate a policy during your lifetime or name the Foundation as a beneficiary. Both options create meaningful impact and may provide tax benefits either now or to your estate. Retirement Funds: Naming the Foundation as a beneficiary of RRSPs, RRIFs, or TFSAs provides a charitable tax receipt and can help reduce estate taxes.
We encourage you to talk with your loved ones and financial advisor and then speak to your lawyer about updating your Will or adding a codicil.
