Home Instead Central Hampshire OUR LIVE-IN CARE SERVICES
What Is Live-in Care? Our live-in care service offers a warm and reassuring alternative not only to residential care, but also to traditional domiciliary care, where support is provided in short, fragmented visits. With one of our professionally trained carers living with you in your own home, you benefit from consistent, round-the-clock support tailored entirely to your needs and routine. Unlike domiciliary care, which can leave long gaps between visits, live-in care ensures someone is always there when you need them, day or night. It also offers families invaluable peace of mind, knowing their loved one is supported continuously and safely with true companionship. This service allows you to remain independent in the place you love, keep pets, pursue hobbies, and stay connected to friends and family with minimal disruption to your lifestyle. It’s also an ideal form of respite care, providing families with a well- earned break, confident that their loved one is in trusted hands. Our support typically includes personal care (washing, dressing, daily routines), medication management, light housekeeping, cooking, and companionship. We take the time to carefully match you with a compassionate, compatible carer, fostering a trusted relationship that enhances daily life.
Live-in care isn't just about help, it's about comfort, continuity, and confidence.
All of the carers have been wonderful,- such lovely, empathetic people who are highly professional, work hard and really care about their clients and families. They take time to get to know their clients and tailor their support to enhance their quality of life, which can
be challenging with dementia sufferers.

Our approach to Care Quality Assurance
For us, care is never just a task. It’s about building trust, dignity, independence and respect. We believe in creating real connections that make people feel safe and valued in their own homes. Our values are simple: kindness, respect, reliability, and always putting people first We take pride in delivering high-quality, consistent care, starting with a multi-layered approach to recruitment. Every Care Professional undergoes a thorough interview process, full reference checks, and enhanced DBS screening to ensure only the most suitable, trusted individuals join our team. All carers receive extensive training and are personally introduced to clients by a member of our management team, with a detailed bio provided in advance. We carefully match clients and carers based on personality, interests, and background, whether that’s a shared love of gardening, baking, or a mutual connection like military service, to help build trust and lasting relationships. We keep care teams small and visit times consistent to support continuity and comfort. As clients' needs evolve, we provide ongoing training and full support to both carers and clients, ensuring everyone feels safe, confident, and well cared for .
Home Instead Central Hampshire are fabulous. They provide a full time live-in carer for dad who has dementia. From the very beginning they have shown compassion, patience and professionalism. They took time to understand his unique needs and personality, creating a safe space where he feels valued. Communication with the family is excellent, keeping us informed and reassured every step of the way. I can wholeheartedly recommend Home Instead for anyone seeking outstanding service and care for a loved one. Judy (Daughter of Client)
DEMENTIA CARE A dementia diagnosis can bring uncertainty, but it doesn’t have to mean giving up your independence, your routines, or the comfort of your own home. Our live-in dementia care offers dedicated, one-to-one support, allowing you or your loved one to continue living safely and happily in familiar surroundings. With one of our specially trained carers living in your home, help is always at hand, day or night. From support with daily routines, personal care, and medication, to preparing meals, managing household tasks, and offering gentle companionship, our care is built entirely around your individual needs and preferences. What sets us apart is our highly personalised approach. We take time to get to know each client and carefully match them with a carer not just based on care needs, but also on personality, hobbies, and shared interests. Whether it’s gardening, walking the dog, listening to music, or enjoying a favourite TV show, we believe meaningful connection is essential to well-being. Unlike domiciliary care, which involves short, time-limited visits from different carers, our live-in care provides continuous support from someone who truly understands you. This consistent presence helps reduce confusion, build trust, and bring a sense of calm and reassurance to daily life, especially important for those living with dementia. We also work closely with Admiral Nurses, Social Prescribers, GP surgeries, and dementia support groups in your local area, ensuring your care is joined-up, responsive, and well-informed. Our carers are trained not only in dementia care but also in recognising subtle changes in behaviour or mood, which helps maintain stability and prevent crises. For families, we offer peace of mind through our secure care app, where daily notes and updates are logged and shared in real time. You can stay informed, involved, and reassured no matter where you are. Whether you're looking for long-term support or short-term respite, our flexible live- in care gives you the freedom to remain at home, surrounded by comfort, routine, and everything familiar. We’re here to support you, every step of the way with compassion, consistency, and genuine connection.
