Keeping you informed Nordea Asset Management (NAM) proudly presents its new live webinar format: “NAM talks”. Every month, NAM invites special guests from one of its flagship solutions to take a seat in the expert’s chair and discuss topics that matter most to investors.
Investors can now take a front-row seat when NAM’s experts discuss current investment topics and strategies. Joakim Ahlberg, lead portfolio manager of the Nordea 1 – North American Stars Equity Fund , and senior ESG analyst Philip Wrangberg were the guests in the opening episode. With the show’s host, Carlo Fassinotti, Head of Advisory Marketing, they discussed why environmental, social and governance (ESG) factors are more important than ever for suc- cessfully investing in North American companies. The new “NAM talks” format will replace the “Morn- ing Espresso” series, which had been introduced in early 2020 to keep clients and partners informed during the height of the Covid-19 turmoil. “While the format has clearly evolved over the past few months, the overarching goal has remained the same: we want to provide timely and relevant information to our clients,” says Francois Passant, Global Head of Marketing and Business Development at NAM. Proven expertise in sustainability In the second half of this year, Nordea Asset Management (NAM) was not only presented four awards for its sustainability efforts, but was shortlisted for four additional ones.
The Nordea 1 – Emerging Stars Bond Fund received the title “ESG fixed income fund of the year, global” by Environmental Finance maga- zine at the Sustainable Investment Awards 2021. At the same time, the Nordea 1 – North American Stars Equity Fund was voted “Best ESG Fund” at the International Investment Awards 2021. At the cfi.co Awards 2021 , NAM came first in the category “Best ESG Team Europe”. The judging panel explained: “Over the years, NAM’s Responsible Investments Team, one of the largest and longest-standing teams in the business, has continued to grow and deepen its experience within all areas
of ESG. Today, the team is a true lead- er in European ESG investing.”
NAM’s engagement against the con- struction of the Vung Ang 2 coal-fired power plant in Vietnam was recog- nised as “ESG Initiative of the Year” at the Asset Management Awards 2021 hosted by Financial News magazine. The same initiative was also recog- nised at the PRI Awards , making NAM one of the final contenders in the category “Stewardship initiative”. At Investment Week’s Sustainable & ESG Investment Awards 2021 , NAM’s Responsible Investments Team was the runner-up in the category “Best Sustainable & ESG Research Team”.
Last but not least, NAM was voted one of the best candidates for the “Excellence in Sustainability” award at the International Investment Awards 2021 , and was also shortlisted for the title “Top ESG/SRI provider” at the Broadridge Distribution Achieve- ment Awards 2021 .
