To maintain compliance during major upgrade works, a major utility company turned to GAP for a rapid modular treatment solution. Installed under tight pre-Christmas deadlines and limited space, the system included four MBBRs and three DAF units. Despite harsh winter conditions, the setup achieved rapid biological activation and consistently reduced ammonia to <1 mg/L. Automated control systems ensured optimised performance and energy use, while DAFs effectively polished the final effluent.
