Les Braves de Brockville Le 11 novembre dernier, c’était au tour des Braves d’affronter les Nats à l’aréna de Rockland. Les deux équipes n’ont pas été en mesure de marquer en première période. C’est donc en deuxième que les Braves ont pris l’avance avec un but de Chris Brown, sur des passes d’Eric Faith et Nicholas Hawkins. Brockville a encore marqué et cette fois, c’était au tour de Simon Kerr de déjouer le gardien des Nats, Joseph Giacobbo, aidé de Faith et Simon Mack. Rockland a riposté avec un but de la part de Jack Sullivan aidé de Josh Norman et Craft. Les efforts des Nats n’ont malheureu- sement pas permis au club de décrocher la victoire, celui-ci subissant la défaite 2-1. Rockland possède donc une fiche de 15 victoires, 8 défaites, 2 défaites en période de prolongation et une défaite en tirs de barrage.
Les Castors de Clarence Creek ont battu le Hull-Volant de Gatineau 5 à 0 lors du match à domicile de dimanche après-midi 11 novembre, dans la LCHJN, marquant à chaque période et ne donnant à l’équipe visiteuse aucune bonne occasion de marquer au filet des Castors. Cette dernière victoire place Clarence Creek au deuxième rang au classement général de la Ligue de hockey junior de la capitale nationale, un point derrière Saint-Isidore, alors que les Castors se préparent à accueillir l’Inferno de West Carleton lors de leur prochain match à domicile le 18 novembre. —Gregg Chamberlain
Deux équipes de la région du fleuve St-Laurent ont récemment affronté les Nationals de Rockland. Le 9 novembre, les Colts de Cornwall ont visité l’aréna de l’Académie canadienne internationale de hockey. Quelque 350 par- tisans étaient au rendez-vous. Les Nats de Rockland ont pris les devants les premiers, à la suite d’un but de la part de Jean-Sylvain Boyer, aidé de Cole Craft et du capitaine Drew Shields. Lors de la deuxième période, c’était au tour de Craft de marquer, aidé de ses coéquipiers, Cameron Last et Boyer. Les Colts n’ont pas réussi à marquer tout au long de la partie, donnant ainsi un jeu blanc au gardien des Nationals, Martin Cyrus. Rockland a donc remporté la partie par le compte de 2-0.

Also scoring for Clarence Creek were Matthew Clifford, Patrick Lemay, and Zack Lugli. Clifford and Lemay also assisted on goals along with Raphaël Payant. The Castors are on the road Friday to Metcalfe to play the Jets then come back home Sunday afternoon to host the West Carleton Inferno.

Castors goalie Corey Camirand had the situation covered at the Clarence Creek net every time the Gatineau Hull-Volant tried to score Sunday afternoon. The November 11 home game saw the Castors chew up and spit the Volant 5-0, clinching the number two spot for Clarence Creek so far in the National Capital Junior Hockey League season standings. —Gregg Chamberlain
Players of the Clarence-Rockland Crush Major Pee Wee team were all smiles on October 26, hosting the Cornwall Fall Classic tournament trophy. They managed to defeat the Brockville Braves four to three, in an epic showdown that lasted a total of five periods, the game ending in double overtime. —supplied photo
