Anything for cha- rity.” “We want to help people, especially at Christmas time,” explained Turpin. “The mayor of Hawkesbury, Jeanne Charlebois, and Anna Dagenais, from Centre Royal Comtois Center
(CRCC), are big supporters and have done a lot to help this food drive and the food bank. We hope this will become an annual event. The food bank is a very important service for those in our communitywho need a little extra help.” The drive ended at 3 p.m. raising $750 plus $450 worth of food which was delivered to the Hawkesbury Food BankWednesday after- noon.“We are very happywith the results,”said Turpin.“We will be doing this again next year.”. HAWKESBURY | The Hawkesbury General Hospital (HGH) Food Drive was well under way, Wednesday morning, despite the snow stormwarning.“This isour second fooddrive at the hospital,” said Andrea Turpin who works at the hospital and volunteers at the Hawkesbury Central Food Bank (HCFB). “We had our !rst one in March and raised $1,100 and $600 worth of food which helped close to 600 families.” Yves Chabot who works in housekeeping at the hospital as well as a volunteer at the HCFB
