Ken Richardson , ex- ecutive director, and Corinne Giletto , senior advisor at Vantage Commercial, worked with both the buyer and seller to execute a successful sale of both Hopwood’s business and assets during a crucial time in the US Economy (COVID-19). The Hopwood School was established in 1968 (as Hop- wood Nursery School) and the Hopwood Summer Day Camp in 1981 by Ann and Richard Hopwood. Their daughter, Heidi Hopwood Geverd, and her husband, Brian Geverd, continued the legacy until 2021. The school’s enrollment grew through the years and the school became a staple in the community under the direction of Heidi and Brian. In preparation for retirement, Heidi and Brian Geverd en- gaged the services of Van- tage Commercial to perform a valuation of the business and real estate and to identify an operator capable of carrying on the family’s legacy. Vantage Commercial has had tremendous success mar- keting and selling business entities of all types, includ- ing childcare facilities.
