Prime Guard Filter Application Guide 2018-2019

WARRANTY Prime Guard Automotive Warehouse warrants its automotive filters (“filters”) to be free from defects in material, workmanship, or design. Filters are manufactured to high quality standards in accordance with Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) and International Organization for Standardization (ISO) test procedures and guaranteed to meet fit, form and function for those applications for which they are cataloged. Limited warranty is effective for the number of miles and driving severity published in the owner’s vehicle manual as the recommended service interval for filter replacements (“Warranty Period”). Prime Guard will replace, free of charge, any Filter which, under normal conditions of use, is proven to be defective in material or workmanship and is within the Warranty Period. If Prime Guard further determines, in its sole discretion that the alleged defective Filter caused engine damage during the Warranty Period, Prime Guard will also repair or replace any damaged engine parts. This Limited Warranty does not cover misapplication, mis-installation and damages or failure caused by rust or corrosion. This Limited Warranty is void under the following circumstances: (1) Use of motor oil other than the viscosity and type as recommended in the owner’s vehicle manual; (2) Damage or failure caused by misuse, negligence, modification, accidents or abuse; (3) Damage or failure caused by unauthorized service or use of unauthorized parts; and (4) Filters which are submitted in a condition that prohibits testing to validate any alleged defect or malfunction. CLAIMS PROCESS 1. Call the Prime Guard Automotive Warehouse at 888.251.2609. 2. Prime Guard Claims will log the complaint and track the entire process 3. A filter retrieval kit will be sent directly to the requesting location. This kit will contain all necessary documents, including a prepaid return label. 4. Fill out the claims information. 5. Call UPS for pickup, or drop at a UPS box. 6. Prime Guard attempts to respond within 5 working days of receipt. Some claims may take longer, and you will be notified if this is the case. 7. Filter will be returned if no fault is found, or the lab may request additional information. 8. A written response will be provided.
