Small-Business Spotlight

RIVERVIEW WOMAN’S CLUB

The Riverview Woman’s Club is a nonprofit organization located on the outskirts of Tampa whose mission is to provide scholarships to Riverview students, support educational needs in the community, and identify and support community outreach. But not only that, the Riverview Women’s Club is a group that comes together for three main purposes: friendship, community, and, most importantly, philanthropy! Each month, there is a meeting where members and guests are welcome to come to network and be a part of the growing chapter! The meetings always include a highlighted speaker who takes their time to educate the members on their philanthropy, business, or topic that they are an expert in. “The speakers are a great addition to the meetings. I always walk away motivated to give back to my community or implement the topics into my own business,” says Heather Michael, a club director since 2017 and hairstylist at Salon Jennifer and Company.

Surrounding the community involvement sprouts an even greater message that the Riverview Woman’s Club sends out to the youth, and that is the importance of education! Since 2013, Riverview Woman’s Club has awarded $21,500 in scholarships to deserving students in the surrounding areas. This gives students the motivation to do better in school and a chance to achieve greatness! Represented by the pink rose, which connotes elegance and grace, which is used to convey gentle emotions such as admiration, joy, and gratitude, the Riverview Woman’s Club stays true to those values. Membership is always open to any woman over 18 years old living in Riverview or the surrounding communities who wants to make a difference in her community. One thing all members have in common is their desire to make a difference — something that lasts for a lifetime.

her. “I remember Carmen sitting me down and saying, ‘Are you up for the challenge of helping launch Dellutri Law Group Tampa?’ My jaw nearly hit the floor! I couldn’t believe I was going to have the opportunity to take Dellutri to the next level. I literally couldn’t say yes fast enough!” We are excited to have Allison in Tampa helping with the launch of our new office, and we can’t wait to see what the future holds.
