Cross-country skiing is a hugely inclusive sport. We start with 2-year-olds in the Jackrabbit program. They learn to play around on skis on hills and terrain parks to get their balance and learn skills that will support them in fitness, health and sport as they grow up. Many of those Jackrabbits move on to become competitive racers. The race scene is very friendly and encourages participation. We regularly see skiers aged 5 to 75 racing at our provincially-sanctioned Sask Cup races and loppets . - HILARY JOHNSTONE, Coach, La Ronge Nordic Ski Club

OUR NAMESAKE, YOUR BRAND GORDIE HOWE SPORTS COMPLEX

He was just another poor farm kid from rural Saskatchewan, who played hockey on frozen ponds in the brutal cold. Beating all odds, he became the legend, the game maker, the tough guy, the record breaker, the celebrated, the unforgettable, the inspirational Mr. Hockey — Gordie Howe — That's who this place is named for.

Align yourself with LEGENDARY.
