NEW PRODUCT: THE LONG TRAVEL EXTENSOMETER
What it is : The long travel extensometer is an attachment which measures changes in length of an object. It can be equipped on any MMS or MMD material test stand. What it’s good for: Strain measurements and tensile tests of elastomers, plastics, or any material that is highly elastic in nature. What makes it special: The long travel extensometer is capable of recording changes in elongation over a much larger range of motion than standard extensometers. Why that’s important: Highly elastic materials which are capable of producing large amounts of elongation before reaching a point of structural failure can now be more accurately tested.
