When at the Club, members and guests are expected to adhere to the standards of attire as outlined in the Club Rules. We’re often asked what this means and we’d like to take this opportunity to remind you of some highlights from the Clubhouse rules of attire. As a general rule, clothes must be clean, dry, and appropriately fitted for the activity in a Country Club setting. We ask that you are mindful of these and share them with your family and guests as you enjoy the Club. If you see or experience an issue that requires attention, please inform our staff so they may address it appropriately, and if requested, please follow their instructions. Members who violate the standards of attire as outlined in the Club Rules can be met with disciplinary action as outlined in the Organizational Manual. A full copy of the clubhouse dress code rules and attire for individual activities at the Club may be found on the club’s website or by scanning the QR code below or click here . Congratulations! CWGO members also recently participated in the “Nine Wine and Dine” scramble with the members of the Women’s 9 Hole and Women’s 18 Hole Organizations. Congratulations to the winners, Patty Larsen, Ruth Seyler, and Cathy Vandermaarel! CWGO was also proud to be represented at the annual ANCC Member–Member event, by the following members:

The team of Susan Walthall, Gwen House, Amy Dewitt, and Jill VanTine placed 3rd net. In previous tournaments, the team of Tina and Tom Gwilliam placed 4th Gross at Westwood Country Club in the annual Calomiris Church Cup. This tournament is the only tournament allowing a male guest. Players who are age 50 or better may compete for the WDCGA Senior Championship at Springfield Country Club on September 24th. Does this sound fun? If your handicap index is 21.9 or below and you are a member of CWGO or the 18 hole WGO, you are eligible to join WDCGA. Once a member, you can remain a member as long as you pay dues. The membership year runs from 1 Nov. to 31 Oct. with dues of approximately $75 per year. You can join at any time; however, if you are interested in participating in Team Match Play, please notify Margaret Ann Connors that you are interested. Team match play is conducted on weekdays in April and May. Teams are formed in November based on 1 Nov. handicap indexes. Players who may not be able to commit to the schedule can opt to be substitutes as needed. WDCGA provides an excellent opportunity to meet female golfers throughout the DMV and play many other country clubs. If you have any questions, please contact your ANCC representative to WDCGA: Margaret Ann Connors (240) 620-6903 maconnors09@yahoo.com. * 3.0 Team – Finished as runner-up in their flight, falling only to a team that went undefeated without dropping a single line.

YOUTH PROGRAMS RAINBOW CITY FALL 2025
Thank you for sharing your children with us for another amazing summer season! Our junior members enjoyed a variety of new games, spent countless hours challenging each other (and our staff!) in chess, created fun crafts, and made new friends along the way. A highlight of the season was our new awning adjacent to Rainbow City, which created a shaded extension of our activity space and allowed us to launch a new game area and social gathering spot. We quite literally had “all things covered”! As we move into fall, Rainbow City continues to reimagine what’s possible —with exciting new plans on the horizon. We remain committed to providing a safe, supervised, and fun environment for our junior members.
