2025 AQUATIC SEASON - BY THE NUMBERS
It’s been an exciting, energetic, and successful summer at the pools! Here’s a look at the journey that brought the 2025 Aquatic Season to life: Behind the Scenes: A Season in the Making October–November 2024 • Completed post-season maintenance and winterization of all pools December 2024 • Posted aquatic job openings to support both ARL and FFX facilities January–February 2025 • Interviewed candidates for lifeguard, front desk, and coaching positions March 2025 • Onboarded over 100 aquatic team members • Began prepping pools and decks at both ARL and FFX April–May 2025 • Launched American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification classes • Kicked off pre-season group swim lessons (ages 4–10) • Conducted staff meetings and final facility preparations • Put finishing touches on pools, decks, the Dive Inn, sundecks, bars, and surrounding grounds And just in time for Memorial Day, the 2025 Aquatic Season was officially underway! 2025 AQUATIC SEASON - HOW DID WE GET HERE?
• 542 swim lessons delivered by 15 instructors • 6 weeks of ARL Sports Camp with daily swim instruction and pool play • 15+ member-hosted pool parties, plus themed events like Teen Pool Parties, the Sundeck Social, and the Luau • 1,500+ visits to ARL and FFX pools on July 4th alone • 3 new awnings added (FFX main pool deck, FFX adult pool, and ARL kids’ area) • Back-to-back CCSDA Swim Champions! • 11 hosted Swim, Dive, and Junior Team meets • 100+ staff supported our aquatics operations—lifeguards, coaches, instructors, supervisors, and front desk • Started the summer with 1,200+ towels at ARL — approximately 800 remain in circulation • 7 Code Browns — Goal for 2026: ZERO!
