A NETWORK OF FAMILY Reflecting on Blessings Throughout the Holidays
Thanksgiving was a joyous and celebratory time of reflection and gratitude for our countless blessings. As Christmas rapidly approaches, stockings are hung, trees are decorated, and the streets dance with twinkling holiday lights. I view Christmastime as a continuation of our abundant blessings; and, at the same time, I look forward to the new year — a clean slate. And, as I look ahead to 2023, my mind turns to resolutions. Simply stated, a resolution is a promise to yourself to do or not to do something. No matter your stage of life or journey you are currently navigating, I hope that when it comes to setting goals and resolutions, you move forward with the intent to continue to do what is working for you in addition to doing something you have been putting off for quite some time. Don’t procrastinate or sleep on it — just do it. Keep in mind that you are not alone. No matter what life throws your way, we are here for you. At Wolf Retirement Navigation, we aren’t just interested in your financial wellness -- we are invested in your overall well-being. Whether it relates to you, your children, or your parents, together, we are one big family network. As I continue to reflect on my personal blessings, I am ever so grateful for the closeness I have developed with my clients over the years, whom I now call family. Family, whether by relation or chosen, is a “place” where we know there will always be a foundation of encouragement, a “place” of comfort and love. Whether we are “family by heart” or by relation, always remember that we are here to support and help one another. For those of us who are facing life changes and challenges, such as those occurring with our elderly and aging parents, we are here for you. For those who want to help their children and grandchildren succeed in life, we are here for you. For those trying to make decisions before, during, or after retirement, we are here for you.
And for those adjusting to this new way of life in the world of retirement, we are here for you to make this part of your life one of the best parts of your life. You’ve already taken the monumental first step by reaching out to us to help you navigate the years leading up to and through retirement; and now, as a new year approaches, we hope you’ll continue to reach out to us. When it comes time to choose the right Medicare plan and Social Security strategy, tailored to your needs, we are here for you. If you’d like to join our webinars and attend our workshops to see which areas you want to research further, we are here for you. If you’d like to just chat for a bit or gather a second opinion on something, we are here for you. We are here for one another! In the spirit of the holiday season, we want to thank you for your continued trust and confidence in all of us here at Wolf Retirement Navigation. We look forward to continuing our friendship and partnership bonds with you this coming year and in the many years to follow. I also want to send out a huge heartfelt thanks for all the generous gifts you have contributed this year to our charitable organization, JaxPAL, which holds a special place in all of our hearts. We wish you and your loved ones the happiest, healthiest, and most peaceful of holidays as we celebrate the season and embrace this new year with renewed hope and promise. Merry Christmas Blessings and Happy New Year greetings from our WRN home to yours!

IMPRESS THE GUESTS
With These Holiday Hosting Tips
The holidays are rapidly approaching, and soon, we’ll share laughs while enjoying the festivities with our loved ones. Before the celebrations begin, you must prepare your home for visitors, especially if they stay overnight. It can be stressful whether it’s your in-laws, best friends, or distant cousins coming to stay with you. You want to leave a good impression, but how do you ensure everyone’s needs are met, including yours? Here are three tips for setting yourself up for a successful holiday, regardless of who stays with you. Stock up on your guests’ favorites. Have you ever stayed with someone who didn’t have extra food for their guests? Don’t put your guests in this situation. Load up your pantry, refrigerator, and cupboards with your guests’ favorite foods and drinks. If you don’t know what they are, ask ahead of their visit! Your guests will appreciate your conscientious gesture and have a much more enjoyable time if they can eat their favorites while visiting. Prepare a guest room. If your guests are staying with you, you need to prepare somewhere for them to sleep. Make sure you make up the bed, have plenty of pillows and blankets on hand, and provide adequate closet space for their clothes. Even if they aren’t staying in a traditional bedroom, their sleeping area should still be ready when
they arrive. Clear off a table for them to use as a nightstand and put sheets on the couch or mattress where they’ll sleep. Use real dishes. When we have company over for a meal, especially a large gathering, it’s usually easier to use plastic or paper options — saves on cleanup, too! The holidays are not necessarily the time for this shortcut. Break out the fine china if you have it, or use regular dishes for your guests. It’s okay for the kids to have paper plates, but if you want to make a good impression on visiting adults, nicer dishes will dress up the table setting and meal.

The adventure lasted 71 days — they traveled 14,076 miles through 29 states and the District of Columbia and explored eight national parks and a variety of national forests. They bundled up for temperatures reaching just 13 degrees F and endured 97-degree heat! The best part is they only encountered one traffic accident. We were never in a hurry, and he was very patient with me being a little slower than him.” The sights Dellajean and her son saw together were absolutely breathtaking. “We took as many backroads as possible to avoid the interstates. This way, we got to see the real ‘America the Beautiful’ instead of rushing down a highway,” Dellajean says. Dellajean, thanks for sharing your cherished memories with us! Originally, they set out for a month-long trip navigating the U.S, but the adventure easily turned into two-and-a-half months! The journey began when her son drove from his home in California to Florida to pick her up. From there, they went up the coast and zigzagged across the country, eventually making their way down the Pacific Coast Highway. “Each day, we’d wake up and decide which direction we were heading that day,” Dellajean tells us. “We’d go off

With 2023 just around the corner, we have big changes to announce! Certain insulin products will have a $35 copay in 2023. Not all insulin products will have a lower copay. You need to check with your plan to see if your insulin is covered with the lower copay. The Center for Medicare Services (CMS) has recognized that there may be confusion over this change and is providing a one-time special election period for people using insulin. The special enrollment period begins on Dec. 8, 2022, and ends on Dec. 8, 2023. This means those who use insulin have a one-time opportunity to change their Medicare Advantage or Medicare prescription plan to take advantage of the $35 insulin copay. Covered insulin is not subject to a deductible or the prescription coverage gap. This change will save thousands of dollars for people with diabetes. Call our office at 904-232-8760 if you have any questions regarding this new benefit. A BIG DEAL FOR PEOPLE WITH DIABETES
