With over 40 years combined in real estate, David Sherman, Elise Messing and Harvey Messing have closed close to $400 million in sales, and The Sherman Messing Group is just getting started. Believe it or not, the roots of this partnership go back over four decades. The story of the Sherman Messing Group sounds like something out of a movie. Elise and David met each other at sleepaway camp in Upstate New York in 1980 and became lifelong friends. Elise first met her future husband, Harvey, in 1991. They reunited in 2008 and have been married ever since. After over a decade of working together in Manhattan’s competitive and thrilling real estate market, Elise and Harvey relocated to Miami and joined forces with her old friend, David. The Sherman Messing Group was born and the rest is history. They’ve fully embraced their new home in the Sunshine State, using their experience and expertise as former New Yorkers to help their clients find warmer weather. It works, they say, because of one thing - trust. Trust is integral to any partnership, and the team’s strong personal relationships have garnered that trust not only for themselves, but with their clients as well. “We can speak critically and supportively, to each other” says Harvey, “knowing that it is always for the greater good and that no matter what, we come together in the end. We are true friends.” In their very first deal as The Sherman Messing Group, they represented the buyer of a three- bedroom oceanfront home at the iconic Blue Diamond Condominium on Miami Beach. It went smoothly from start to finish because they each held a specific role. Letting each agent play to their own strengths has become their secret to their success.
