Have you Heard the Buzz? Located at 771 Talbot St., where Hammersley’s Fish N’ Chips once was, Buzz Bites is bringing a fresh, honey-inspired twist to St. Thomas. The brainchild of Rhonda Wachowiak, the restaurant combines her passion for connecting with people and her love for the unique flavours honey can bring to food. “This idea started with a desire to bring something special to the community, something that’s fresh and exciting, centred around the love for honey,” Rhonda shares. “It wasn’t just about making good food. It was about creating a place where people feel at home and enjoy their meals.” This vision has shaped Buzz Bites into a warm, welcoming spot that offers a unique dining experience focused on honey-based dishes and local ingredients. With deep roots in the restaurant industry, Rhonda’s journey in hospitality began early. “I think I started around age 12, helping my grandparents at the Aylmer Legion,” she recalls. “I’d serve breakfast there, and it just grew from that. I love being around people; for me, it’s not so much about cooking as it is meeting people.” Rhonda spends most of her time interacting with guests, leaving the heavy cooking to her team. “I don’t want to slave over the hot stove all day, and some of them don’t want to be out front all day, so it works out perfectly.” Buzz Bites originally planned to specialize in a variety of breakfast, lunch, and dinner bowls. However, after numerous test kitchens at home, Rhonda and her team decided to take a different approach. “We thought, let’s make honey our focus. Nobody else is really doing that,” she explains. Now, honey is at the heart of the menu, with honey-marinated grilled meats and a range of in-house sauces. Buzz Bites offers a menu that appeals to a broad audience, with Buzz Bowls, sandwiches, and wraps, all featuring popular FREE MARKET EVALUATION 519-495-0789 RICHARD HADDOW Real Estate Agent Centre City Realty Inc., Brokerage Independently Owned and Operated Welcome to your dream home in Orchard Park.
