Byron Villager December 2024

Laura Medina’s Desjardins Toy Drive For the third consecutive year, Laura Medina’s Desjardins office in Byron is hosting its annual Toy Drive, a tradition of giving back to the community during the holiday season. With many families facing financial challenges, toy drives play an essential role in providing support and spreading joy at this time of year. her office selects a local charity, assesses its needs, and makes a cash donation to help. This mission inspires her team, who share in the effort to make a difference locally. “It’s important to me to create an environment where everyone feels valued and respected,” says Laura. This year’s Toy Drive runs from November 18 to December 20. Donations of new toys can be dropped off at the Desjardins office at 440 Boler Road, Suite 208 (second floor, above the Royal Bank) Monday through Friday, from 9 am to 5 pm. All collected toys will be delivered to the Salvation Army for distribution before Christmas. Laura Medina’s commitment to community support goes beyond the holiday season. Each month, Toy donations can include items like Play-Doh, puzzles, slime, books, Lego, Barbie’s, Marvel comics, and figurines. By contributing, community members can help make the holiday season a bit brighter for families in need.
