Before a single light fixture is chosen or a cabinet is measured, Esther Ellard is already designing for the future. Her work through Effortless Designs is rooted not just in aesthetics, but in empathy — a practice of crafting spaces that reflect how families live, move, and grow. It’s a design philosophy born not from chasing trends, but from chasing purpose. “I started straight out of college,” Esther says. “I originally got a bachelor’s degree in music, but I realized early on that wasn’t the direction I wanted to go. When I found interior design and home staging, it sparked something in me — a passion for creativity that could actually make a difference in people’s lives.”

That spark became her compass. What began in 2020 as a small home staging venture has since evolved into a full-service interior design firm that partners with builders and homeowners across Georgia — and soon, beyond. Family First — In Every Sense Esther didn’t build Effortless Designs for status or scale — she built it with family at the center. “I’ve always been a family girl,” she says. “I wanted a business that could provide for our needs, but also give me the flexibility to be fully present with them.” That long-view mindset is now woven into her company culture.
