Compañía Española de Petróleos S.A. (Cepsa) faces the challenge of producing more energy for a growing global population with higher consumption expectations – while also reducing carbon emissions. In 2022, Cepsa presented its new strategic plan for 2030, “Positive Motion,” which projects the company’s ambition to be a leader in sustainable mobility, biofuels, and green hydrogen in Spain and Portugal, as well as to become a benchmark in the energy transition. Cepsa places customers at the heart of its business and will work with them to help them advance their decarbonization goals. To provide integrated support for this strategy, the company needed to provide its fast- growing renewables business, Cepsa Renewable, with a new platform to support all operations. Cepsa sought a seamless user experience that could help reduce the learning curve among different teams. For this, the company would need to update its operations, which were managed in a local accounting system without any integrated processes.
