The Drawing Studio is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, creative learning organization that brings art and the benefits of creating art to the entire community. The Drawing Studio offers affordable fee-based and free classes and workshops, hosts events and exhibits, and fosters awareness of the positive effects of creativity on individuals. The mission is to inspire people of all ages and backgrounds to embrace art practice as a pathway to person growth and healthy community. PCOA and The Drawing Studio proudly partner to feature original work by older artists in Pima County in Never Too Late , celebrating and showcasing the creativity of older adults in our community.

architecture at the University of Utah and graduated in 1986 with a Master of Architecture degree. She worked in architecture, project management and facility management for over 30 years, most recently as Assistant Vice President in Facilities at the University of Texas Medical Branch. She retired in 2017. During her career she had limited time to work on art and had taken mural painting and bronze casting in her spare time. But after retirement and returning to Tucson,

she started taking courses at The Drawing Studio, primarily painting and drawing. She was very inspired by her teachers and in March 2022 one of her abstract pieces won 2nd place at the Southern Arizona Art Guild show.
