Co-recipient of those for the Most Creative Deal of the Year and Land Sale of the Year Massaro Properties’ president wins two awards at the Western PA Chapter SIOR

P ITTSBURGH, PA — Massaro Properties, LLC announced that president and broker of record, David Massaro , was honored by the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR) during its Western Pennsyl- vania Chapter annual awards luncheon at the Fairmont Hotel in downtown Pittsburgh. Sev- eral awards were presented for the region’s top deals of 2015, and Massaro was a co-recipient of those for the Most Creative Deal of the Year and Land Sale of the Year, both for the former Allegheny County Health De-

partment site at 3333 Forbes Ave. in Oakland. In 2009, the team of Massaro Properties, Langholz Wilson Ellis and TKA Architects was selected by Allegheny

County to develop the Allegh- eny County Health Department site. In 2014, David Massaro of Massaro Properties and Gary Wilson of Hanna Langholz Wilson Ellis closed on the purchase of the Health Depart- ment building and its 65,132 s/f land parcel. The partners then purchased two adjacent homes, which consisted of 15,547 s/f of land. Once all acquisitions were completed, the Health Department facility and two residential buildings were de- molished to clear the way for the development project. Massaro and Wilson com- pleted their plan in 2015, re- sulting in $125,000,000 of new development including the 144-key Marriott Residence Inn that Massaro Corporation began building earlier this year. RISE (formerly known as Ambling University Devel- opment Group) purchased the remaining portion of land, on which Massaro Corporation is constructing SkyVue Apart- ments. This upscale apartment complex includes a 14-sto- ry, mixed-use building with a 356-stall parking garage, 10,646 s/f of first floor retail space fronting Forbes and Fifth Aves., and 21,000 s/f of outdoor amenity space with grilling sta- tions, fire pits and gardens for relaxation. n Warfel Construction promotes Fisher to lead estimator MALVERN, PA – Warfel Construction Co. announced that Jon Fisher, LEED AP ,
