Heritage Christian Academy Dress Code for School Dances
This dress code applies to all students of HCA and their dates that are in attendance at school dances. Ordinarily, any student that is found to be out of line with this dress code will not be permitted to attend the next HCA school sponsored dance. For female students/dates: ● Dresses and/or skirts, including any slits, may not reveal more of the thigh than they cover. The thigh is defined as the space between the top of the kneecap and the hip. ● Dresses and/or skirts may not be overly tight or body-con in style, as these ride up when dancing and fail to meet the modesty standard. ● Dresses may not have low-cut necklines. Strapless dresses are permitted if they remain modest. ● Dresses may not expose the midriff or have stomach cutouts. ● Dresses may not be backless. Material must extend at least three inches above the natural waist. ● Dresses may not use mesh or sheer material to meet any of these modesty standards, unless there is a solid lining behind it. For male students/dates: ● Dress shirt ● Tie (not required but encouraged) ● Dress slacks ● Dress jackets are also encouraged. ● No shorts, sandals, flip flops, slides or crocs. ● No T-shirts or hoodies.
