Tuition Payment Policies The school has financial responsibilities to faculty, staff and vendors. It is assumed that Christian schooling is a high priority for all families who have chosen to be enrolled. We expect all those choosing the monthly payment plan to place the school in a high priority position for payment. The student and parents are responsible for all debts incurred at Heritage Christian Academy. No grades or transcripts will be released until all debts are satisfied. Accounts 30 days in arrears will receive notification that, if an account reaches 60 days in arrears, the student will be subject to suspension from all classes until the account is settled. The President may be consulted in the event of a financial emergency. Monthly tuition payments can be done by automatic withdrawals or monthly payments (plus a one-time administration fee). Automatic payments take place on the 9th of every month and can be spread over 10 months or 12 months. A late fee of $20 should be included with any submitted payment received after the 9 th of the month. Parents whose children are withdrawn from the school after a contract has been signed and enrollment is confirmed, or whose student is dismissed after classes have begun, are responsible to pay the full tuition for that academic year, unless an exception is made by the board due to unusual circumstances such as loss of employment or re-location. Parents seeking an exception must submit their request to the board in writing. If parents fail to honor their commitment and respond in a way supporting this commitment, the school will bring the matter to the ruling body of the family’s church or a third party Christian mediation service in accordance with I Corinthians 6:1-8 and Matthew 18:15-20. If a family decides to withdraw their child(ren), the Principal may conduct an exit interview with the family to ascertain the reason for the withdrawal and to remind the family that their contract calls for them to pay the full tuition for that academic school year. The same policy applies if the child(ren) is dismissed by the Principal once classes have begun.
