HCA School Bullying Policy 1. Introduction

Our school is committed to providing a safe, positive, and supportive environment for all students. Bullying, harassment, or any form of intimidation is unacceptable and will not be tolerated. This policy applies to all students, staff, and stakeholders within the school community, both on school premises and during school-related activities.​ 2. Definition of Bullying Bullying is intentional behavior, often repeated over time, that hurts, threatens, or humiliates another person. It can be physical, verbal, emotional, or cyber in nature. Bullying may include, but is not limited to: ​ Physical bullying : Hitting, pushing, shoving, or damaging property. Verbal bullying : Name-calling, insults, teasing, or threats. Social bullying : Spreading rumors, excluding others, or manipulating relationships. Cyberbullying: Use of technology (e.g., social media, messaging platforms) to harass or intimidate.​ 3. Reporting and Response Procedures ●​ Reporting: Students, staff, or parents/guardians who witness or are victims of bullying are encouraged to report incidents to a teacher, counselor, or school administrator. Reports can be made verbally or in writing, including anonymously. ●​ Investigation: All reports of bullying will be taken seriously and investigated promptly. The school administration will gather information from the victim, the alleged bully, and any witnesses. Investigations will be conducted in a manner that ensures confidentiality and fairness. ●​ Response: If bullying is confirmed, appropriate action will be taken. This may include: ○​ Counseling or mediation between the involved parties. ○​ Disciplinary measures in accordance with the school’s code of conduct. ○​ Involvement of parents or guardians. ○​ Referral to external agencies if necessary (e.g., mental health professionals, law enforcement).​ ​
