A Journey with Century City

OUR COMMUNITY

Sport plays a vital role in fostering a strong sense of community spirit within Century City, bringing people together through shared interests and activities. The creation of various sporting clubs, including the canoe club, running club, and the highly anticipated annual sports festival, has provided the Century City community with numerous opportunities to engage in leisure activities within a safe and welcoming environment. The canoe club, set along Century City’s scenic eight-kilometre canal network, offers a unique way for participants to enjoy the outdoors while staying active. The running club, alongside the popular weekly parkrun, encourages people of all ages and fitness levels to connect while promoting a healthy lifestyle. These initiatives have transformed Century City’s green spaces and waterways into hubs of activity, where both casual participants and dedicated sports enthusiasts can find a sense of belonging. The annual Cape Town sports festival is a highlight in the community calendar, drawing together participants from all over Cape Town to celebrate a variety of sporting events. It reinforces Century City’s commitment to promoting an active lifestyle while fostering social interaction, inclusivity, and a vibrant community spirit. Together, these sporting initiatives create more than just recreational opportunities - they build a cohesive community where people can connect, unwind, and form lasting relationships, all within a dynamic and secure urban setting.
