The Southeastern Khronicle: Fall 2023-Winter 2024

SAVANNAH (GA) ALUMNI CHAPTER The Savannah (GA) Alumni Chapter adopted five families for this Christmas holiday in partnership with Family Promise of the Coastal Empire, Inc. Thanks to the generosity of chapter members, we were able to ensure that 23 children get to experience the magic of a very merry Christmas. (to the right) The chapter also participated with Real Men Read Program at Haven Elementary School. Brothers went into the classrooms and read to students of various grade levels in an effort to deepen literacy and instill a love for reading in students. (below) The Savannah State University Women's Basketball Team led by Brother Cedric Baker hosted a "Pink Night" to raise breast cancer awareness and to support the St. Joseph's Candler Telfair Mammography Fund. Brothers of the chapter participated in the fashion show and won the three on three contest against a local group of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. members. (bottom right)

The chapter held its bowling reclamation outing at the Frames N' Games bowling alley. Over 25 brothers were in attendance and most importantly several brothers came home to Kappa. (Pictured to right)

The chapter also demonstrated their commitment to serving the community by collecting nearly 60 blankets and donating them to the Old Savannah City Mission, a local shelter dedicated to providing services for those experiencing homelessness. (Pictured to left)
