We are now located on a high plateau overlooking the most beautiful lakes and valleys I have ever seen. The days are cool and the nights are cold — cold enough to warrant the use of four wool- en blanks. I’d almost forgot- ten what cold weather is. Iv received another pack- age today from Harry and Ida, and six letters. It’s swell to know you are doing well at Buchman. We have plenty of beer on hand ourselves, but, as yet, it hasn’t been passed out. The “Flips” are around all day long bartering bananas and eggs and other fruits, etc. I never eat so many bananas in all of my life. That’s it for now. Take care of yourself. Love Herm
