SELECTION CRITERIA
QUALIFICATIONS Essential: • National Diploma in Occupational health and safety (NEBOSH) or equivalent • Full driving license Desirable: • Chartered Membership of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) or recognized institution KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE Essential: • 5 years’ experience in a health and safety management role including budg- etary management • Experienced lead auditor • Experienced incident investigator • Proven experience of line management and leading a team • Experience of effective ability to delivery H&S training to groups and individ- uals, face to face and online Desirable: • Experience in managing health and safety internationally • Experience in responding to major or critical incidents • Experience applying or managing health and safety in the HE sector • Business fluency in local foreign language of one or more UCA overseas cam- pus. WAYS OF WORKING Essential: • Practical and solution focused approach • Ability to identify and articulate core issues and manage competing priorities • Takes a rigorous approach with a focus of quality of delivery • Ability to analyse complex problems and propose practical solutions • Demonstrate ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders
