So you see we have not only Romanism to contend with, but also Russellism, Soc­ ialism, Anarchism and Infidelity. Thank God, His Word is sufficient to answer all the devices of the enemy of men’s souls. The reason for this quickened interest is not hard to find. For centuries the Jews have been accus­ tomed to pray that the next year might find them in Palestine, but though this prayer was repeated year after year, the hope of seeing Palestine restored to them dwindled with the passing years. The liberation of Palestine from the grip of the “ unspeakable Turk,” and the subsequent proclamation of the British Government which makes pos­ sible the establishment of an independ­ ent Jewish state in Palestine, has revived and deepened interest in the centuries’-old hope of seeing Palestine restored to the Jews. Such a stirring of the “ dry bones” (which is the house of Israel) has not been seen for ages, and on every side the Jews, as they see these wonderful changes which are fraught with so

Bender, Supt. promise and are encouraged to be “ steadfast, immovable, always abound­ ing in the work of the Lord” even though we do not at once see the result of our labor, because it is also written “ forasmuch as ye know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.” We are praising God for a number who have accepted the Lord Jesus, to whom it is our pleasure to minister from week to week. One family, living in a Mexican settlement, invite from eight to ten of their neighbors in to our Bible study every week, and thus through this one family, many are learning of the Word of God and its true teaching. Russellism has made its inroad even' among the Mexicans. At one of our Bible classes mention was made of the fact that all are the sons of Adam according to the flesh, and that it was not true that all are the sons of God as is so commonly taught in the present day; also, that Jesus Christ was the divine Son of God. We were not aware that a Russeillite was in our midst, but after we left she said to the lady of the house, “ I am surprised that he does not believe that all are the sons of God,” adding, “ we don’t believe , Christ is divine.” Returning the following week we were told of this incident. As the lesson was on the depravity of man it afforded a good opportunity to show
