THE K I N G ’ S B U S I NE S S cleared her mind of the cobwebs, showed her that she was not under law, but Grace and gave her, stronger than ever, the joy of her salvation. This, all by the Word of the Lord. Another neighbor, whom we supposed all right, we found had been caught by at least one of the “ isms” of the day. She had been carried beyond her depth but the great danger to her soul was averted and after considering, together, these false cults, whose smooth cover ing concealed the traps beneath, she returned to the Bible, determined that she would stand by what it taught, refusing what did not agree with it. She is a happy woman. One of the Bible Women, at the close of the work, this year, invited all her classes to spend the day with her. She hardly realized, at first, how large an affair she was getting on her hands, for there were eight classes, ranging from 15 to 30 members, but each brought a cup and saucer, in the lunch for one person. A young woman with a generous sup ply of wholesome and buoyant spirits, expressed what should be the normal attitude of t£e Christian toward Bible study: “ If any one had told me that the time would come when I would miss my car and an important engagement, just to find out what happened to Abraham, I would not have believed it possible. When I was younger, I would seat myself in an easy chair and pile mag azines and favorite books about, then, because I felt I ought to do it, I read a few verses from the Bible. Having thus earned what seemed to be an enjoyable treat, I plunged into stories of romance, adventure and frenzied finance. “ Now, the Bible is so entrancing, so perfectly fascinating, that these other books fade into insignificance. The Book of Leviticus, which seemed a tire some reiteration of dry old laws, has become a Book of wonderful pictures of

the sacrifice of our Lord. The marginal references a. b. c. etc., which I used t6 utterly ignore, have proved to be just so many golden keys, opening up store houses of knowledge. Bible study is no longer a, duty alone but a delightful privilege to me.” A busy housewife, a former college teacher writes, of Bible class work: “ The Christian who would have real success in bringing others to Christ, must have a working knowledge of the Bible.” In her anxiety for others to share the blessing, this same lady continues, "Have you a Bible Class in your town? It is possible for you to have one if you have but one consecrated worker thor oughly furnished with good works and filled with the Holy Spirit.” “ There are those about us perishing. Would a Bible class in your town reveal that truth to some?” A school principal writes, of a class held especially for teachers and prin cipals: “ What better can we find, in all our wide searching, what more com forting and inspiring to our wlihry spir its than an hour spent at the feet of our Master, studying His Holy Word? How willingly and eagerly we follow the story Of God’s provision for our wel fare! How quickly those wearying wearing problems that seemed so all important a short time before fade into the merest trifles in the light of “ Gome unto Me, ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” ' And in their stead come Comfort, Assur ance, Confidence, and a sense of secur ity. This has been amply tested and proven during the past year in the organization of the “ Teachers’ Bible Class” which as the name implies was formed primarily for teachers and the purpose of which was a definitely plan ned study of God’s Word. Coming in each Thursday, tired and worn with the day’s work, we relaxed for a few moments under the soothing
