The next morning as they were travelling, they saw some body coming towards them, a large company of people, and Jacob saw that it was his brother Esau with a lot of soldiers. (Read Gen. 32:9-12.) Jacob was just awfully scared now, for he knew how helpless he was with all the little children to fight against his . *

this long time he was in the new land, so God spoke to Jacob and told him to go back to his home-land. (Gen. chap. 31.) God also told him he would take care of him. Jacob called his family together and told them what God had said to him, and they said for him to do as the Lord had told him. Jacob and his people and servants all lived in tents, so they took down the tents, folded them up, and packed the other things he was going to take with him, and put them on the backs of the strong camels. My, but you children would have had just the best time, for Jacob put the children and their mothers on the camels too, and they all started on the long journey back to the old home, and of course Jacob’s children had never seen their grandfather, and now they were going to grandfather’s home. Don’t you think you would have had a fine time on a trip like this? When night came they would stop and camp, and cook their meals right out doors, and then too there were all the camels, and cows and sheep to be fed and taken care of, and the boys and girls would love to help all they could. They were just having a picnic every day, but Jacob was not very happy for he was thinking of his brother Esau, who had been so angry at him when he had to leave home. Jacob wanted to be friendly to
