THE GREATEST WORK “ The loss of the soul is the greatest loss in the universe. It is greater than the loss of millions of money, or of kingdoms. Better that the sun were blotted out from the heavens than that a soul should be lost. To “ win” souls is the most blessed work God ever entrusted tQ mortals. It is the work which is nearest to Christ’s heart, and for which He came into thè world. It is the highest and noblest form of success, and is infinitely more profitable than winning earthly distinctions or wealth.” “ In soul-winning you must expect opposition. No one ever engaged in this work without it. The sinners you are trying to win will often oppose you. You will often have cold water thrown on your efforts by Christians who them selves do nothing. “ Satan will offer you bitter and unceasing hostility, as one who is dangerous to the interests of his king dom. “ But you will obtain help from God. You will have His smile and favour; for what you do is very dear to His heart. He will thoroughly equip and qualify you to meet and overcome the difficulties of the, work.”— Rev. D. M. B. Chapman. i i : Earth for work; heaven for wages. This life for battle; another for the crown.
