#2 Pre-Conference Workshop | Meeting the Moment With AI: A Practical Playbook for Behavioral Health Leaders and Clinicians | Jonathan Liebert, MA Artificial intelligence is rapidly reshaping behavioral health care, creating new opportunities and new responsibilities for providers, clinicians, and system leaders. This full-day, hands-on workshop moves beyond introduction to application, equipping participants with practical tools and frameworks to engage with AI thoughtfully and effectively. Designed for both clinical and operational audiences, the session explores where AI is already showing up across behavioral health settings, from documentation and treatment planning to access, operations, and strategic decision-making. Through real-world scenarios, live demonstrations, and guided practice, participants will gain experience using AI tools while learning how to maintain clinical judgment, human connection, and trust. The workshop also examines key considerations around ethics, risk, and governance, including privacy, bias, and appropriate guardrails. Participants will explore where AI can add value and where caution is warranted within their own organizations. Using a practical framework, attendees will develop an initial approach to AI adoption and leave with actionable next steps, including implementation considerations, staff readiness, and change management strategies.
