Mostafa Rady Mostafa Rady is a Senior R&D engineer at Coherent Corporation. He was granted Erasmus Mundus Joint Master’s Degree (EMJMD) in Photonics Integrated Circuits, Sensors and NETworks (PIXNET) at Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna, Italy and Aston University, UK in 2020-2022. During his master’s degree, he focused on 14xx nm pumps for Raman amplification
studies within the Photonics Research Group at Ghent University and imec. She is an early stage researcher in the Marie-Curie project PostDigital, which explores non-digital computing alternatives. Her research is focused on leveraging photonic-based machine learning for
telecommunications applications.
and conducted a feasibility study for uncooled Raman pumps. He is working on the design and the developments of pump lasers modules used in EDFA and Raman amplification.

He then attended the Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree (EMJMD) in Photonic
Integrated Circuits, Sensors and Networks (PIXNET) at Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna, Italy and Aston University, UK in 2018-2020. He is currently working as an Early Stage Researcher (ESR) in the European Training Network project "POST-DIGITAL” where his research focuses on signal processing techniques using machine learning for channel equalization in advanced fibre-optic communication systems.
