We are the UK & Ireland partner for DIAMOND SA, the Swiss manufacturer of fibre optic connectors and interconnects. Diamond invented their Active Core Alignment process to produce low insertion loss/high return loss helping to maintain signal-to-noise ratios for those applications involving small signal levels. Patchcord and pigtails are available for a range of fibre types across wavelengths from UV to NIR. For requirements needing polarisation maintaining or polarising connectors, DIAMOND offer the PM and PM+ connectors with up to 30dB PER. Small form factor connectors with high mechanical stability suitable for demanding environments at high and low temperatures, including space qualified connectors are offered. DIAMOND have a library of multi-fibre ferrule designs and the capability to offer customised solutions. Also available are high optical power handling InGaAs PINs and photoreceivers for ultrafast digital communications. SET (Smart Equipment Technology) SET, Smart Equipment Technology, is a world leading supplier of High Accuracy Flip-Chip Bonders and versatile Nanoimprint Lithography (NIL) solutions. UKTIN UKTIN is the innovation network for the UK telecoms sector, bringing together industry, academia, and government to catalyse telecoms R&D investment, cooperation, and commercialisation. Founded in 2022, it is delivered by a consortium of four partners - Digital Catapult, Cambridge Wireless, University of Bristol, and WM5G. UKTIN is funded by the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT) to drive the 5G Supply Chain Diversification Strategy and provide support for supply chain diversification in UK telecoms. It will work towards this goal by strengthening UK capabilities in open telecoms, attracting overseas companies and talent, facilitating indigenous supply chain development, catalysing public and private investment, and proactively promoting UK capability internationally.
