The No. 38 Le Mans Prototype Challenge Car is an open-cockpit sports car producing roughly 475 horsepower, with high levels of downforce coming from a front splitter, a rear diffuser and a large rear wing. Despite some of the most treacherous wet conditions ever, and Le Mans winners and IndyCar aces chasing fervently, the team and the drivers per- formed flawlessly to bring home the class win. In the triumph at the Rolex 24 at Daytona, de Boulle Diamond & Jewelry became the first official Rolex retailer to win the prestigious race. The honor went noted by Rolex: It ran a spectacular advertisement featuring a photograph of Nick Boulle receiving his engraved steel-and-gold Daytona in the podium.

I n professional motorsports, each season starts with one of the big- gest endurance races in the world: the Rolex 24 at Daytona. The Rolex 24 is often compared to an all-star race for motorsports, with drivers who regularly race in NASCAR, Indy- Car, WEC Le Mans and even Formula 1 coming to compete as part of three and four-man teams. The race takes place over 24 hours, testing man and machine at the historic Daytona International Speedway — which happens to be the namesake of Rolex’s legendary Daytona timepiece.
