C entral to the mission of the Dayton Urban Minority Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Out- reach Program, Incorporated (UMADAOP) is the unwavering commitment to ensure the availability and accessibility of culturally sensitive prevention, treatment, and recovery services for all residents of Mont- gomery County. This commitment is particularly dedicated to addressing the specific needs of the Afri- can-American, Hispanic/Latino, and under-served populations.

Aiming High Aiming High is a community-based asset developed program that offers positive alternative choices for youth between the ages of 10-15. Aiming High is designed to increase youth decision-making skills to reduce teen pregnancy, dropouts, substance abuse, and mental health problems such as depression and suicide. This program offers mentoring, ATOD educa- tion, youth empowerment and cultural enriching activities. Health & Wellness • Commission on Minority Health • Lupus Optimal Health support group and Lupus Education and Awareness Creating Lasting Family Connections (CLFC) Creating Lasting Family Connections is a comprehensive personal and family strengthening program. The program is designed to improve per- sonal growth through increasing self-awareness, expression of feelings and interpersonal communication.

Our endeavor encompasses more than just service provi- sion; it is about delivering these services in a manner that resonates with and is responsive to the cultural essence of our diverse clientele. This means that each facet of our efforts is thoughtfully shaped to mirror and respect the distinctive cul- tural contexts of those we serve. Programs Ohio Violence Prevention Program OVPP is designed to reduce youth violence by increasing their awareness to counteract environmental risk factors which contribute to violent behaviors (Bullying, domestic vi- olence, verbal and other forms of violence) and/or substance use. This program works to increase the participant’s ability to resolve interpersonal conflicts without the use of violence or drugs. The goal is to reduce negative (direct/indirect vi- olent) behaviors by heightening awareness of the impact of
