Participants are taught social skills, refusal skills, com- munication skills, family management, and appropriate alcohol and drug knowledge and beliefs, which provide a strong defense against other family or environmental risk factors. This program has a youth module and adult module and can be implemented separately or simulta-
neously (youth and parent/care giver). Outpatient Treatment
We offer 8 hours or less a week of Substance abuse treat- ment services which include but not limited to; Assess- ment, Group counseling, Case management, Individual sessions, urinalysis, recovery support and crisis inter- vention. Recovery Support Services Are services offered to enhance an individual recov- ery capitol, assist individuals in addressing barriers (housing, employment, transportation etc.) as well as, provide peer support to encourage continuous maintenance of their recovery. This service is often provided in conjunction with outpatient treatment and at post Elder Care-W.I.S.E The WISE/Elder Care Program is designed to reduce the incidence, prevalence, and negative consequences of substance misuse and improve quality of life for citizens aged 55 and older. De- livered over 14 weeks at senior focus (senior housing, day centers and churches) locations utilizing The Wellness Initiative for Senior Ed- ucation (WISE) evidence-based curriculum supplemented with evidence-based strategies. The objective of the program is to improve
quality of life by increasing knowledge and awareness of ATOD, proper management, storage, disposal of prescription medica- tion stress management, embracing aging and strategies for healthy living, promote awareness of health disparities, linkage to resources and engage social connected- ness, as well as identify risk for suicide.
