The Lorain Urban Minority Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Outreach Program (UMADAOP) is dedicated to guaranteeing the availability, accessibility, and afford- ability of alcohol and other drug services for the African and Hispanic American population in Lorain County. Additionally, our mission is to provide these services in a manner that acknowledges and respects the cultural essence of the African and Hispanic American commu- nity. Lorain UMADAOP is committed to raising awareness within the African and Hispanic American Community about the implications, consequences, and occurrences of alcohol and drug use, as well as their severe short- and long-term effects. Moreover, it is the objective of Lorain UMADAOP to prioritize the needs of the African and Hispanic Amer- ican community on local, state, and national agendas.
