In 2019, Tim decided to power up his career by moving to Las Vegas, along with his American-born wife, to make the most of the many opportunities in the entertainment-driven city in Nevada. “If you really want something, you can actually go get it.” “I got into the Las Vegas music scene and had a few breaks through word of mouth and my wife also working in the performance industry. People soon hear about you, and get

Also, a drummer had recently left a band, and we arrived at the right time, so I got into that band and that led to more work.” Despite the Covid-19-enforced shutdowns in 2020, Tim continued to develop his career. “Las Vegas is a great place for a musician – not too big and with plenty of opportunities. In terms of both our styles, there are plenty of shows, bands, and events.” For Tim, Las Vegas has proved to be the perfect place to “kick off some goals”. “Along with Cirque du Soleil, I also bounce around doing all my other things,” he says. “I have my own jazz band and compose my own work. Next up, I plan to record another album. My last album, The Puzzle , was recorded with my band, Mukhlisa, in 2016. My

musical style can be described as ‘world jazz’. However, I incorporate my passion for drums and percussion in all my projects.” Away from the stage and recording studio, Tim focuses on fitness, having run several half- marathons, and the full Napa Valley Marathon in 2020, and pushes himself everyday with CrossFit training. “To work hard at anything, you have to really love it. You must also enjoy the challenges that come with lifting your skills to the highest level possible. l never stop practising and pushing myself. “Nothing is given to you. You have to continuously prove yourself and always be confident in your actions. However, the passion element is massive. “If you really want something, you can actually go get it.”
